Why I do what I do

Supporting people with issues related to cultural differences is very important to me. My coaching sessions aim to ensure that life and work may be experienced as valuable in the interplay of different cultural perspectives and approaches.

My professional profile is based on:

  • Competence and experience as a systemic and intercultural consultant (certified by the Systemic Society and the Himmelsfels Foundation)
  • Scientific expertise in culturally specific topics (Phd in Romance Linguistics)

What helps me most to put myself in your shoes is my own experience with different cultures at home and abroad as well as the daily practice in my intercultural family. I am constantly learning through challenges and experiencing how different ways of thinking and behaving broaden my horizons and enrich our interactions.
I am convinced that the investment in a more harmonious intercultural life and work is worthwhile and I would be delighted to support you.

Cultural Sensitivity: My Approach to Intercultural Issues in Coaching and Workshops

  • Intercultural life and work can take many forms. When developing possibilities for change and solutions, the focus is on your individual situation, your possibilities and your goals
  • The starting point for understanding the behavior of others is an awareness of one’s own influences
  • Our collaboration takes place at eye level – between the client and me, and in multi-person settings, between all participants
  • In coaching, there is room for all of the concerns that my clients bring to the table, regardless of whether or not they have to do with cultural differences

My systemic approach is based on the following principles, among others:

  • I look at people and their issues in their respective context
  • I focus on the existing resources and capacities of the individual or the system
  • I support my clients in finding solutions that work for them. My role is to guide the process; the client determines the content, pace and goals
